Diversity in my Ward
The preceding discussion brought into mind an AA convert just confirmed yesterday. Hopefully more will come as the myriad of referrals missionaries received from the Gladys concert come to fruition. Anyhow, among active members, there are:
8 African Americans (2 RMs) 12 Latinos (4 RMs) 12 Asian Americans (7 RMs) 3 Polynesians (0 RMs) out of a ward of about 250 active, 14% are minorities.

I mentioned this before, but the mission prez in my area said that there was a record number of baptisms in the mission after the Gladys Knight concerts. Although none in my ward that I know of.

Average about 120 to sacrament:
65 Latinos 40 Anglos 15 Black (Not all are native to the US, so they aren't "African-Americans") 0 Asian |
