Do you find The Godfather movies to be an accurate portrayal of La Cossa Nostra? If not, do you not like those movies, either? Diddy Mao! one shot!

FYI: there is only one "S" in Cosa. Cossa doesn't exist in the Italian language.

I believe this comment could be used accurately to describe just about any movie. The entertainment industry is all about self-importance.

Two of the best films I've ever seen I saw in the past year, and both were German--Downfall, about the last days of Nazi Germany, and The Lives of Others, about the Stasi. I bet after the fall of Islamo Facism some apostate Muslims will make some great films set in this age.

In America is a great film. Autobiographical pic by Jim Sheridan. He directed My Left Foot (which I have not seen), In the Name of the Father, and The Boxer.
It's a great film among those modest indy films out there. Like The Lives of Others. |

l was semi dissapointed with the Lives of Others, too much heavy handed sentimentality and insulted the audience of the viewers, was kind of like the german Shawshank Redemption(also overrated).
my list 1. The Godfather 2. Taxi Driver 3. A Clockwork Orange 4. The Godfather II 5. Apocalypse Now Honorable Mention: 12 Monkeys Trainspotting L.A. Confidential Dog Day Afternoon Last edited by Hsaru; 08-11-2008 at 01:16 AM. |
