That is definitely an example of my sense of humor. And no, I don't mind joking about foibles, but I take ultimate reality and the claims of the Bible very seriously. It is worth noting that there is no joking in the Bible, at all. I wasn't personally offended at the second diary entry (as though you hurt my feelings--this seems to be a motif Mormons love to use), but I did feel it wrong not to stick up for her and say something about it.

No joking in the bible? Are you serious? Prophets use satire almost as much as they use prophecy. For example:

1 Kings 18:27-- "And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked."

Read Satire and the Hebrew Prophets by Thomas Jemielity sometime.

Yeah, I always got a kick out of that one.

But Elisha apparently had a very poor sense of humor (and a short temper):

All-American, there is definitely satire, but it takes the form of biting criticism of sin. Hardly the kind of light-hearted humor people look for.
