Yep simple majority in CA. This is why our State Constitution is the size of the phone book. I wish that is was 2/3 like the US constitution but it isn't.

Parents have no more or no less right to opt their kids out of the California education system.

Thank goodness for Prop 8. It saved out children from almost certain doom.

If a teacher does teach those things they will have a MUCH more difficult time defending the appropriateness of it, had Prop 8 not passed. Not that any school is handing out "King and King" in California anyway.

Why didn't they just go this route in the first place then? What's the point of having a consitution and not just legal code? Are other constitutions like this?
