How disappointing.
No it does not, but you are the last person to be complaining about fakes.

I know that I was wrong in the false perception that I presented in the other board. That was wrong and I know it.

Imagine for instance, LDS.net is a very card-carrying board. It is like entering into the "Zion Ward". The reaction to mine and my partners situation and our ideals would come under heavy scrutiny. It would be like being asked not to attend the ward again. Why do you think I decided to go along with the fabrication? It wasn't right! I should have taken my chances and it would have been better to be eaten by the wolves there than to go along with the story I did.

As I said before, things weren't always nice in the ward I'm in. The first bishop was very intolerant. He never shook mine or my partners hand in church. He hardly acknowledged us. The bishop I have now is very real. I know this because I grew up with him in my home ward from the ages of 14-17. I know his son. His son succeeded in hanging himself but not to the point of no return.

I know now that I should take the chance, as I have here, to be real about my background and hold nothing back.

I know I have lied. I apologize. I have no right to chastise anyone. However, lets remember a lesson that I'm sure each of us has been affected by: The woman caught in adultery and what the Savior said to the men present.

It is hard to put myself and for my partner to put himself out there to a majority of the members of the church. I should be stronger in the conviction that I know I have. That conviction is that I shouldn't care what anyone on any board or in any church thinks of me or my relationship. Three of my partners siblings have rejected him and one of mine has rejected me...simply by admission to our 'abominable' lifestyle. I don't want pity. I took a bad form of what I thought was a precaution when I should have taken the chance at rejection.

Actually, when I googled "All Is Not Well In Zion", I also put in "by Paul Toscano". Like I said before, Paul Toscano's piece came up as part of a link to a discussion to this webboard.

The title of the discussion is: Lying for the Lord v. Justified in not telling the whole truth

The fast link I used was this: http://cougarguard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9772

Once again, I am guilty of misrepresentation of who I am on another board. I apologize.

Would you honestly be strong enough, if you were in my position, to fully put yourself out there...open to criticism as an apostate, a defilement of God's eternal plan, a second class member of the church, an abomination? Admittedly, I was not on that specific board. How sad. I understand the way you feel. I had a good friend that I had told about my orientation in confidence and by Sunday, I had an emergency meeting with my university ward bishop. I was asked not to use my priesthood until he and his counselors made a decision concerning me. This was when my partner was a missionary in my university ward and I had never done anything sexually with another man. The worst was automatically assumed. Why?

Sorrowfully,
Dwayne

You might fool Seattle Ute, but you can't fool the rest of us.

Hey everyone...I'm Dwayne. I have an interesting story as to why I am at the point I'm at in life but I will share that another time. I will share this: I used to be LDS (Mormon) but I'm now a member of the Community of Christ (formerly RLDS). I enjoy enlightening discussion just as much as controversial. If you have any questions...just ask. My life is an open book.

Dwayne

Welcome to Christian Forums!! It is really nice to have you here! If you are looking for a place to get started on this HUGE site, I recommend that you start in the Blessings Exchange. Blessings are the site's currency, and this board allows you to participate in games and fellowship threads to earn extra blessings. You also get blessings by simply posting, but the BE can help you boost your earnings! CF is currently undergoing major updates, and for the time being blessings do not play a significant role in the functioning of the site. However, when everything is back to normal, you will need blessings for functions such as purchasing items for your Living Avatar (Quick Links > Edit Avatar > Living Avatars), editing your signature, or permanently changing your font.

You have 2 massive strikes against you:

First, you are a terrible liar.

Second, your strongest advocate here is SeattleUte.

PS on an unrelated note, please settle an argument. Do you think that taxpayers pay Kobe Bryant's salary?

Assuming Jerry Buss is a taxpayer, the answer is yes.

I was talking to Anthesian, thank you.

PS technically you are wrong since the Lakers pay Kobe, not Jerry Buss directly. My guess is that they are an LLC and it all flows to Buss in a sch K1.
