do you have a sense of humor?

and also, can you laugh at yourself?

and, at times, can you laugh at some of the foibles or idiosyncracies of your religion/religious beliefs?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, you should pack your bags and leave this forum.

I know your type. You think you have a sense of humor, but you do not. Your type is pathologically obsessive and has very little mental flexibilty.

I don't blame you for it. To some degree you were born that way. I guess, in some weird way, you are fulfilling the measure of your creation. It's a small measure, but hey, we gotta do what we gotta do.

That is definitely an example of my sense of humor. And no, I don't mind joking about foibles, but I take ultimate reality and the claims of the Bible very seriously. It is worth noting that there is no joking in the Bible, at all. That doesn't preclude humor from legitimate human experience, but it sure does show how serious the authors of the Bible were, not to mention God himself.

I wasn't personally offended at the second diary entry (as though you hurt my feelings--this seems to be a motif Mormons love to use), but I did feel it wrong not to stick up for her and say something about it.
