based on my baby blessings, I hope I am not called to be a patriarch. Because I would say stuff like "be a good person, learn charity, have a family if you can, learn to love the gospel and serve others, and if you do all this I think God will be happy, amen."

People would leave, crying, I'm afraid. Personally I don't get super-long super-detailed baby blessings.

There was a guy at BYU that wanted to have his PB redone because apparently the patriarch was exed a few months after he received his for an affair he'd been having. Unfortunately the Sunday School teacher was not able to provide him any counsel on the matter.

How old were you all when you got your PB?

Some might theorize that if you get it while too young, you may end up with something more non-specific.

ordinances are not ordinarily reperformed for things like this. What about the priesthood holder who has baptized and confirmed people and then in 1976 does he geneaology and finds out great-grandma was black? Are all those ordinances invalidated? No.

Yours was specific in a distressing way, so the theory holds.

Mine is actually distressing in several ways, some of which I would say are very specific, and others sort of vague. For instance references to unspecified "tragedy." It's kind of specific, and kind of not all at the same time.

Mentioning a tragedy in a PB is pretty dang specific, as most contain mostly things to be happy of, or contain warnings that wouldn't surprise many.

Because we are better equipped to handle more "stuff" when we are older?

Maybe because your "course" is more set. As you age, your options narrow.
