Offering free booze to college kids with strings attached is a powerful means of controlling college kids. They may have a point.

I think you need to think outside your Mormon box on this one. Most people drink socially and relatively few have red noses. So you aren't really against the red-nosed types here. You may be running off half cocked and resisting some sound reasons. 120 college presidents have a lot of crediblity.
Mike thinks outside of his mormon box all the time. Or maybe you've missed a few threads.

I presume the avg. libertarian is for lowering the age to 18, or abolishing laws restricting alcohol use for any age.

You cant even buy beer at Pac 10 football games anymore (the actual Rose Bowl game is not controlled by the PAC).
but this would change if the age were lowered to 18. Get it? Then it would be legal to dispense it on campus and the university gets to make more money.

Actually, most libertarians except for the hard core anarcho capitalists think there should be laws governing what minors can do in regards to drugs and alcohol. I've not seen any debate about the drinking age in the libertarian sites I've been to or seen any discussion related to lowering it or getting rid of it. Libertarians tend to believe you shouldn't give unrestricted liberty to minors on everything.
