But it's one vote in Nevada, which is up for grabs according to all the smart people. You should have Kevin Costner play you in the movie.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Steve Schmidt needs to be careful. McCain has a lot of skeletons an un-Obama-associated group could use.

(I've been heads down in work, neophyte on the issues, admittedly.)

‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory. After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona. And the rest is history.’ - Ross Perot

The GOP will need to pillage Perot on that one.

Womanizing - check (with easy & logical insinuations to recent lobbyist issue. "Once a womanizer, always a womanizer")

Shallow opportunist - check (wow that's a lot of money to marry into)

Huh? the GOP doesn't need to do anything or say anything about Perot.

It's only in your fantasies that they have to.

I think this is Exhibit A of why the dems seem to always find a way to lose. They live in fantasyland and have no conception of real politik.

LOL - so if Perot ends up in a series of commercials the response is nil? Now *that* would be fantastic.

Frankly, when Perot dropped out because the GOP was plotting to ruin his daughter's wedding, he lost all credibility.

Rightly or wrongly, he is considered a cuckoo.

I think Ross is nuts (for that matter, Andersen, too), but 60+% of the country considers him to be conservative / GOP, ie, gotta respond, gotta "eat your own", makes the GOP appear more fragmented & impotent than it already appears.

just in case you think he has regained his credibility, I in the past year or so, he was found to have believed a false chain email about Obama.

This stuff just doesn't go far. You are licking your lips for no reason.

The only people who really matter are in the middle, many of whom are swayed by perception, not so much policy. If Obama had to spend resource fighting off & discredited personal attacks by a fellow Dem, it would definitely be a net negative.

I agree Perot's remark alone is not enough to carry much weight, but combined with other facts / perceptions along the same lines, it could mean 1-2%, maybe a little more.

Name the most compelling argument to elect Obama. Just one. Name it. First one that comes to your mind.
