Perhaps it's used as incentive to prevent attrition. Drop out of law school and you just might go on a killing spree.

I am not going to defend BYU's actions, but if you are going to compare them to those of the Klan, you disgrace those who were persecuted at the hands of the Klan. |

BYU=the murderers of of Galileo. BYU, enemy of truth. Trust me, if BYU weren't constrained by our larger civic virtue, it would be capable of any violent act against apostates, gays, anybody threatening. That's a historical fact.

I never thought I would see those words posted. I have not read the thread but it must be getting bad.

No, it's indefensible. But it's still a notch or two below the Spanish Inquisition and the rise of the Third Reich. People read your silly hyperbole and they think, "Whoa, it's not that bad". By juxtaposing each misstep with history's worst crimes against humanity, you achieve nothing but reminding us that there are things that are much worse. Bravo.

The new SU = the old Tex. Every thread he joins inevitably devolves into a discussion on him.

Not Hitler. There are better comparisons. Don't put words in my mouth.

Good advice. Your comments are so over the top they are almost impossible to lampoon.
