I challenge you to name any part of Salt Lake that comes close to the thriving neighborhood known as Rainier Valley.

Seattle is obviously trolling on this thread. SLC is better than almost any older Midwestern town, St. Louis, Kansas City, Wichita, Detroit, Madison, many parts of Ohio, and many parts of Los Angeles.
Seattle's trolling is so obvious on this one; either that, or His Bob Dole Blue Wonder hasn't kicked in as some have suggested. Remember Seattle, if it last longer than four hours, call a doctor.

Remember bankruptcy requires someone who had it enough together at one time to get credit and is responsible enough to address his debts by legal process at the very least. Some places are too desolate for many bankruptcies to occur. I bet the bankruptcy rate in Somalia is pretty low.

I do find it intersting however, how many young families there are in my ward and others around here that are from Utah. I wonder what % of Utah native BYU grads stay in the state after graduation. I bet it's a lot lower than it used to be. And those are the smart ones. The others are among the ones filing bankruptcy IMO. Last edited by FMCoug; 06-28-2007 at 05:35 PM. |

Since there are some trying to tie this
to church membership, which I am not inagreement with, I would like to know the following. If you are filing for bankruptcy and having your assets protected, are you allowed to pay tithing.
I would accept someones gambling winnings as tithing before I would money kept from filing bankruptcy. Of course I don't make the rules. |

Here are some paths to explore. Might be more useful than "I drove through Salt Lake and I've never seen such a poor, pathetic, hopeless, culturally deprived city". Btw, I heard this a lot from out-of-towners visiting for the Olympics. No smiley just for you SU.
