I only caught a couple brief snippets of the dem debate last night. I did like his comment that if we are celebrating a decrease in violence in Iraq, then we have put the bar so low, that it is "buried in the sand."
The fact that GOP can't honestly talk about the reasons we are in Iraq is very disappointing. Why in heaven's name do we want to stay in Iraq for 100 years, as McCain suggests perhaps should be the case? One good thing about Bush--he completely dispelled the notion that the GOP is the "competent" party when it comes to foreign affairs and war. He was breathtakingly incompetent. And thank God the CIA reigned him in on Iran. |
