If it was a MLB batting average, it would be by far the best ever in history.

The thing that I am missing on MW2 is cooperative gameplay.
I have the gameplayer volume turned off because I don't like to listen to immature vulgar people (neither does my wife). I know you can turn off people individually. But it would be fun to do as I have done before in FPS, working with some folks, tactically. As in "cover me from here, I'm going there." Etc. As it is, most cooperation is accidental or happenstance. |

Cool. Even Castro/Cuba is upset about this game.

The very first map I played was "nuketown." The graphics were terrible. And I was thinking "uh-oh" this game is going to be a disaster, and a big step down from mw2. But it turns out that for some reason it is only that map which has crappy graphics.
I've been pretty impressed with the maps I have played so far. They are big. They are more varied in terms of vertical levels, and not as many choke points. |

I hated black ops at first but I am starting to like it more and more. I agree with your regarding the maps lots of doors, levels, etc. I really like them.
The graphics are a little suspect but I do like the purchasing of guns, perks, and equipment. Also I feel like I have evolved a lot since MW2. I was awful in that game and got better towards the end. BlackOps I have only played I think 10 hours and I just hit top 3 in 25 TDM matches. I am not sure I did that in 15 days on MW2. Also my K/D is above 1 and would be higher had I not decided to play 3 straight glitchy games of HQ where my best game was 2-21. You need to get a headset.

Black Ops requires more gun skills, which I am sadly lacking.
I get a lot of assists/partial hits. Very frustrating. Also the knife kills have to be closer in. And so I do a knifing that would have worked with MW2 and it doesn't work with Black Ops. So I think I tend to do slightly better in hard core. Because those spray-n-pray partial hits are kills. I find I do best when I try and be very patient, not run around, instead wait around at choke points and kill dudes that are running around. But I have shot down a lot of helicopters! |

I played some Black Ops at my brother-in-law's place over the break. I was doing a ton better. I was using a lot of FAMAS with ghost (and then ghost pro). I was having games like 28 kills and 17 deaths. A lot of games with k/d over 1.0. I thought, "should have been using the FAMAS a long time ago!".
I get back home to Texas, set up the exact same class, and it is back to being terrible. What is going on? Is it my controller? No, I actually took my controller with me on the trip. Is it my internet latency? Doubt it. Just seemed like it was harder to hit the guys. I go into my settings, and see that the aim assist or whatever it is called, is set to off. I turn it on. Boom, I am back to my better ways! So everyone is using aim assist except for me? No wonder I suck! |
