There's been some great ones, but I'll add a couple:
The Conversation (An excellent, but lesser known film starring Gene Hackman and Cindy Williams) Vertigo (Plenty of Hitchcock films make the "disturbing" list, but Vertigo's a masterpiece) Night of the Hunter (Directed by Charles Laughton and starring Robert Mitchum) Wait Until Dark (There's something about Audrey Hepburn's blindness and the climactic "black screen" scene. An excellent film).

American History X when Ed Norton's character tells the guy to bite the curb and the curb stomps the man. I am stretching my lips over my teeth now just thinking about it.

The only movie where I vocally yelled in fright was "What Lies Beneath" when Harrison Ford comes through the back of the truck after Michelle Pfeiffer. I loved that movie.

Anyone feel there is any responsibility (morally) from the producers of some movies?
For instance: Natural Born Killers was just insane. Do you think producers and/or Hollywood bear some of the burden of putting rediculous ideas in some lame brain people to duplicate things they see on the big screen? Should some movies just 'not be made'? Silence of the Lambs - that movie was 'disturbing'. Do you think Hollywood bears some burden for fueling psycho everywhere?
