I think that's Seattle's point - that Kraut is badly underestimating the people's animosity toward GW and, subsequently, the GOP's desperate need to represent change. Kraut suggests that advertising change is a risk for the ticket...Seattle's suggesting (I think) that it's a requirement for any hope of viability.
