It's one thing to suggest that race would be *a* factor in an Obama loss, but to suggest it would be *the* factor in an Obama loss is to overlook all the myriad other reasons to vote against the man. He's a biracial socialist-sympathizer with a funny muslim name, a wife who says unbecoming things, a weird church, a couple of shady friends, and who has a record of supporting post-delivery termination of pregnancy. Plus he barely won his primary. And he hasn't been on the scene very long. And he's going to raise taxes.

To attribute a hypothetical Obama loss to racism alone is a disservice to McCain, and frankly it's quite an insult to the voting public.

The impression I get is that the average American doesn't understand or care about ideology anymore. For the populace as a whole, ideology and policy are perhaps the least of Obama's problems. Obviously this is just my opinion, but based on the ads coming out of the McCain camp, it looks like that's the theory they're working off of, too.

Astute. Wish I'd said that.

I think you got the Biden pick all wrong. It's not hubris on Obama's part at all. Obama had to shore up the base, especially in Penn, hence Biden. He's trying to bring back those Hillary supporters.

After months and months of deification by the media, Obama found himself still tied with McCain and losing ground. He was scared and had to keep his house from falling down around him.

Biden was more desperation than hubris.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

What a sycophantic slag.

As James Bond said in A View to a Kill, "don't be so damned obsequious."

I'm glad I didn't say that.

And don't hit below the belt, a slug maybe but a slag?

I don't know what slag means in that context. I was plagiarizing 3D.

If you are asking Archaea for a definition, you are a bigger fool than I thought.

I define things in light of my higher understanding.

That's pretty funny, since by definition archaea are a lower life form.

Who asked the librarian to categorize me?

First, I'm a slag, then a slug, then undefinable and finally a lower life form. Whoa to be me.
