If BYU makes the BCS, it has a successful season in years we have a seasoned, experienced QB. In years when we're breaking in a new one, a second or third place finish with ten wins is acceptable. But Utah tasting the fruits of the land of milk and honey twice, and the Frogs being kissed by the princess once is simply too much to bear.

We want more and we want it NOW. BCS or Bust!
That is all.

Thanks to the addition of the twelfth regular-season game, the lofty "10 win" label has become inflated. 10 wins is the new 9 wins. Last year Missouri went 0-4 against ranked opponents, squeaked by unranked Northwestern in a second-tier, December bowl, and "won 10 games."
It's the same with "went to a bowl game." Now that there's 34 bowl games, 68 of the 120 teams (57%) participate. It's a pseudo-prestigious way of saying "we were .500 or better that year." |

Sunshine pumpers need to look at all the BYU fans around them.
Why do BYU fans hold their nose when it comes to Max Hall? Why does the BYU coach say that BYU fans will learn to love and appreciate Max Hall in ten years? It's not like I have stated something that goes against the grain. Max Hall showed great promise. He did not deliver on those expectations. The end. |

Max was an odd commodity. He had success, but never really connected with the fans. He had a few games where he put together some important passes to win a close game. And he's won one bowl game, but he's kinda like John Walsh, just never really connected.

1. The best receiver ever in the history of BYU: Austin Collie. 2. The most prolific receiver in the h/o BYU (receptions): Pitta. 3. The 2nd best runner in the h/o BYU (arguably the best), and 1st all-time in rushing yards: Unga. Max Hall never put his personal stamp on this "Max Hall era." He was frequently on the cusp of greatness, with talk of the Heisman, talk of an undefeated season, but it quickly disappeared. The guy was the anti-Detmer. Loud, emotional, runs his mouth. He was the prima donna princess, for heaven's sake, the transfer from ASU should have been the first clue. He was not liked all that much because he was simply not terribly likeable. It's only fitting this his career at LES ended with a crude diatribe, that took away from his teammates efforts, that resulted in a printed apology. That's Max Hall for you. |
