Oh, I don't think that's the case. I don't have the numbers in front of me at the moment, but I don't the she hurt the ticket much at all.

Hard to say, because the exit polls failed to ask the only relevant question, and because it's impossible to know how another VP would have impacted the ticket. But her unfavorables were staggering. Looking over the numbers, it looks to me that he net-lost a few points of the popular vote due to Palin, but it's impossible to say whether that loss of support was impacting the electoral vote.

McCain's performance among women was particularly poor.

I agree.

McCain/Palin dominated Alaska.

I'll take those 3 electoral votes...thank you.

The NASCAR angle may have contributed to that 2-1 win in Oklahoma.

lol! I don't think I have ever seen, let alone within one day of the end of a campaign, the supporters of a presidential candidate so quickly turn on the VP candidate. Today, we have learned that Palin didn't know what Africa was (she thought it was a country), that she threw tantrums so severe she had her own staff in tears on a near daily basis, that the VP spent over $20000 on clothes for her husband, or that the VP couldn't name all of the countries in North America (all this according to Carl Cameron on Fox News!).

I love Palin.

It had better be soon, because everyone around her is already ruining the surprise with their own reports.

This is going to get gloriously entertaining.

If it is true, as Fox News is reporting, that Palin really didn't know Africa was a continent and couldn't name the nations in North America, then she isn't just uninformed, she is stupid. What other conclusion could one reach for a person who has all of the opportunities to learn that she has and for a person in her position. The absolute lack of intellectual curiosity reveals a shallowness few would have expected.

We can agree that most information on Fox News tends to be a lie, but it is pretty rare for the lie to be directed at one of their own. If they have crossed that line, they may as well pack it up and shut it down.
