I think that since the 1970's we have seen a rise in religious fundamentalism all over the world. But someone posted a link recently to a column by Orson Scott Card in which he suggested that if gay marriage becomes the norm people ought to take up arms and overthrow the government by force.

No, you expressed your opinion that members of the LDS church do whatever their leaders tell them to. You have proven nothing.

So again, prove it or admit that you are only expressing your opinion.

You don't think that most temple recommend holding LDS do what the prophet says in terms of how to vote?

Do you deny that disagreement with Sister Beck's talk numbers in the hundreds?

Does the history re the prohibition vote surprise you? Would you expect such wholesale rejection of the prophet's directive today? Do you agree this represents a shift in LDS's relationship with leaders?
