Adam has discussed it in a previous thread. He has lent support to the coalition that is trying to get a homeless shelter in Provo.

A homeless shelter in Provo would kill. All the BYU student wards would be lining up to do service projects there.

It would be interesting if someone on this board would approach a homeless person and ask them directly how they became homeless....whether it was Lemony Snicket-style or truly as a result of laziness and selfishness. I have never done it, either, so not putting myself out there as an expert on homelessness.

Does anyone remember the deaf dude who hung out at the Smiths parking lot back in the mid 90s? He was a black guy and walked around with a pad and pencil, the pad hanging from his neck. His name was Reggie.

Adam, why is there no govt. support for this, or any homeless shelter in Provo/Orem?

Thanks for that post, Adam.

I have no problem in willfully giving to charities that are doing things the right way. This certainly looks to be one of those.

I give Stewart great props for going down to the Coalition and serving food to these people and getting to know them and changing his position. A great man.
How do they feel about the Brazilian death squads that kill homeless children?
