This is why I rarely drink coffee, by the way.

anything that hurts the oil companies, I support.

If gas goes to $5 a gallon, to protect polar bears, I support it (though it might actully help the oil companies).

It'll have impacts far beyond that.

Polar bears are threatened by melting ice
Ice melts as a result of global warming
Most everything we do these days contributes to global warming
Environmentalists have a lever to stop anything they want

For example, bird lovers hate wind farms. They're bird blenders after all. To manufacture wind turbines requires, somewhere somehow, carbon emissions. Carbon emissions cause global warming which melts ice which kills polar bears etc etc.

I support bears of all colors. And wolves too. Pleased that the black bear has come back to Texas.

Whew, I knew Bush & Co. would come through. Threatened, rules crafted to prevent what I feared etc. etc. Yay GWB.

How, by cooling the sun down? It is the worst form of hubris to believe that we have anything more than a local effect on the earth's climate.

Yah, GWB is leaving soon, and will quickly be known as the worst ex-president ever.

We can do it!
