Curious as he's always been the dude I never think about. To me nothing really stands out about him, other than he's really tall and has an unusual sounding voice.

Sure, but have you seen the issue? It is wholly, and I mean wholly about Jesus, even including a nice discussion of grace that even Jay will like (I think), as well as a comment making clear that Joseph Smith is no more than other prohpets in the pantheon of Mormon belief. I have never seen one just like this before, but Easter comes every year.

Well, he's one of the few GA's I've met and unlike some of the others he was friendly and in our brief conversation actually seemed interested in talking to me. Not some brief handshake and on my way and why are you still trying to talk to me, don't you know I'm a busy, important person?

I also have a personal connnection in that I got to know his brother during my mission and he looks and talks like Tom. Great guy, friendly with a ready laugh. L Tom strikes me as the same way.

To couch it in political terms, he's the guy I'd most like to have a beer with.
