Funk you're overplaying your card. Beatles may not be your favorite artist, but to deny their artistic ingenuity is to play it too hard. The fact that other artists can use their works and make them sound great should show they have a solid musical base. Now I agree with John Coltrane as being very important, and I'm a musical idiot, not a well-trained musician a la creekster.
Beatles have forever influenced modern pop culture and music. However, they were immensely more talented than they average pop musician today, a la Britney Spears. They didn't have the vocal range of Mariah Carey.

Let It Be is one of my favorites. And Arch is right - the Beatles continue to exert a huge musical influence.

Funk, get a clue. I can't even see those videos, I'm at work and they're blocked. I just like to irritate you and then sit back and watch the fireworks. I'd think you would have figured that out by now.
You have really discredited your own musical intellect with that last post. |

I'm surprised no one said "In My Life."

Perhaps the AZ SP would have benefited from the Let It Be lyrics:
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see, there will be an answer. let it be. |

Speaking of interesting lyrics, Rush has some fascinating ones:
I was looking Rush's Tears lyrics: Quote:
