obviously what i said was a little dramatic....

i unintentionally worded my post wrong, my bad.

it is difficult for me to believe that people who claim to participate in the one true gospel of christ would actually question the spiritual decisions a kid in high school is making.

i should have said, a large majority of us dont really live our religion properly.
Luke 6: 42

42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

I have yet to meet anyone who has succesfully pulled the beam out of their own eye, myself included.

because the people in it are absolutely retarded....

thoughts?
Use the word "some," as in some Mormons are retarded, or some Americans are retarded, or some engineers are retarded, or some chefs are retarded, or my personal favorite, some Ute Fans are retarded.

I don't know Noah. I think I have come to the conclusion that most people are morons on some level. I think I view the intelligence and common sense level of your typical human being about as dimly as Archaea views marriage.

Maybe it is just the work I do, but the more I interact with the public the more I wonder how life functions as smoothly as it does in most cases. Of course, if it weren't for this seemingly inexhaustible supply of stupidity (coupled with a little bit of hostility and greed) I wouldn't have a job now would I?

You make a good point, Dan. I too come into frequent contact with the public as a result of my job and often times come away wondering how these folks ever made it out the door that morning. But is their retardedness general or situational?

Speaking generally, then, I will concede you at least one point: "Most" Ute Fans are retarded.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

when most of your daily interaction is with people who have MD's and PhD's, you can get a very skewed perception of reality.

I guess I end up seeing both the cream and the milk scum at the bottom of the cup that you can't rinse out, but not as much in between.
