Agreed.
The "epiphany" he kept referring to was a joke. He didn't even have to go there either. Why not just tell people that in order to be elected governor of one of the most Democratic states in the country, the one that continues to elect the imbecile Ted Kennedy, you cannot emphasize a pro-life stance? There are all kinds of ways he could have spun it that would have been a vast improvement over having a mid-life "epiphany"?. Hopefully for him, in 2012, no one will care about abortion and the Republicans will figure out that courting the evangelical fundamentalists is the equivalent of selling your soul to the devil.
