I loved Demae when at BYU. Then when I came back to visit, I was severely disappointed. Demae felt like Japanese fast food, but not quite at fast-food prices.
Of course Kyoto in SLC is much better, but also more expensive. IMO, Demae is not worth eating at, even at their prices. Just my opinion. |

The Arbor Restaraunt was my favorite while it was there, but alas it is no more.
I do love Thai Chili Garden on 3rd South, but it was the first place that I tried Thai food and so it has a special place in my heart. |

Sam Hawk has great Korean food. If you can stand the awful service. You could die of thirst waiting for a refill on your drink. In spite of that, my family loves to go there and get bulgoki, kalbi, and jop chae.

Speaking of burger places in Utah County - is that little dive called The Purple Cow or something like that still around? I think it was in Pleasant Grove.

It was called "The Purple Turtle". I don't know if it's still there. I haven't been to PG in over 10 years.

I thought it had a decent burger and a good chocolate/banana shake.

1. Matiki Island BBQ great polynesian food, very authentic ate some Taro there the other day. Runner up is Sweets, still around and still good.
2. i cant think of the name it is a mexican place in the Albertsons shopping center across from Movies 8, as authentic as it gets, they have won the Daily Hearld most authentic mexican award like 6 years in a row. It is very very good. 3. Nico italia- even the guy there sounds like he is from Boston, other than waiting at least 35 to 40 minutes for your food, teh Pizza is unbelievable
