Pretty premature to say what will or won't happen. Not at all premature for you or Waters to say what you prefer.

So essentially you are arguing that people should be forced to buy insurance. Pay now or pay later with penalties.
Which is exactly the position the democrats have decided that they cannot support. You're the democrat. Tell me why the democrats don't support it. |

Yeah, you are done when you don't get to dictate who answers what when.
I'm still waiting for my answer why the democrats aren't requiring people to have insurance. |

As for your question (I will take one last attempt at making this work), the Democrats ARE requiring people to have health insurance. That is why you are fined if you don't. I said I thought the penalty wasn't strict enough and asked for your opinion (and here we are, full circle, back at the question you have refused to answer). |

And the line ignores the reality of the current debate, the Democrats give lip service to wanting to force insurance upon everybody else by setting up a system easy to game, make certain insurance rates skyrocket in order to submarine private insurance and voila to end up with a single payer system, nefariously planned through this subterfuge. The amount of fine is insufficient but requiring one carry insurance is immoral. We're experiencing the greatest economic collapses of our lifetimes, and the Democrats are worried about health insurance, when the economy is cratering faster than Rosanne Barr can eat a donut.

Let's say insurance costs my family $1200 a month out of pocket on the open market. In one year, that is $14,400. How many of you had $14,400 in medical costs last year? May will have had less. Some will have had close to no cost. Now weight $14,400 against a $200 fine and ability to enroll in insurance at any point and start paying the $1200. |
