Thanks. I am ok now. Like I said my talents don't include business and finance, but that doesn't mean I don't have talents . . . .

I have a couple of friends who were steamed that church funds (their tithing, so to speak) were going to this. Heretofore, it was encouraging private donations. Even if it's a donation in kind, the church is now openly financially involved. And my friends feel that since they pay money to the church, they are now somehow implicated. While I - and they - recognize that once you put the money in the little gray envelope you surrender all rights to how that money is spent, it's a little depressing to see money (even if it's only a relatively tiny amount) consecrated to God going to fund this issue.

In-kind donation of transportation? Does the church have their own jet or something? Maybe they let them take a vehicle and gave them a gas credit card? Seems like they are going out of their way to emphasize it was not a direct cash donation. Nevertheless, something of value went to the cause out of your tithing.

Gidget, you need to look at your screen, tell yourself, "I'm smart as hell," and keep typing. There are only a couple of bona fide smart-guy geniuses around here, and a whole lot of dumbasses who are masters at wasting time on here (I fall into the second category). You keep posting. I like reading what you have to say.

I was thinking of a guy in Ohio and a guy in Indiana as our geniuses. You used to be in this category before you started thinking of trading in your lexicon for the lex. (in order to buy a lexus?).
