Look, with all due respect Godfather, you are up in the night on this one.

There has never been another Kent Tekulve....never will be. Look at this guy. He looks like Ric Ocasek and he must weight about 130. He clearly was NOT juicing. If he were still playing today, he would more likely be the IT guy for the Pirates front office, fixing your printer or your blackberry.

He pitched with sunglasses on, for crying out loud! Give the guy some respect.

Wow, I have eaten at that place. If I recall, it was delicious. Comes with slaw?

Also, it is a pittsburgh thing to put french fries ON the sandwich?

I believe so. The Wiki says the fries on the sandwich has roots in the steel workers wanting a hot meal but not having the utensils or time to deal with the side dishes.

It is a delicious sandwich.

Ok, Tekulve is a lot more of a geek than I remember. I've done my best to suppress that October.

I suppose I should have made the comparison as relative. Belanger is about as geeky as they come in the Orioles organization.

I seem to remember a report a few years back that some place had invented the Roethlis-Burger. Are they still doing that? It looked like a complete mess, a heart attack in a bun.

Look how skinny his legs are. The stirrups are about 3 inches from his actual leg.

I have always loved the Dodgers, but Kent Tekulve was always close to my heart. That guy is amazing. I should start a Kent Tekulve blog.

OK, that one in the pic is the exact one I have been to, I think.

And you are correct, it was delicious. I am not a fan of slaw at all, but there are two sandwiches that are the tasty exception....this one and the pastrami at Langer's in LA.

I also seem to recall being introduced to the "steak salad" in Pittsburgh...it was basically an entire steak, sliced into pieces, and placed over a little bit of lettuce to make people feel good about their calorie intake. I was also introduced to Pittsburgh-style "black and blue" steak, which is basically raw meat. Yum!
