We have a couple options:
buy the license ($160) or lease the license ($85/yr). If you buy the license, you can use it forever. But then you don't get updates. If you lease the license you get updates. I'm not a business man. What do you guys think? I guess it depends on whether or not we think we would need to upgrade after 2 years. 2 years is a long time when it comes to software and technology... |

I'm a cheapskate and don't like scheduled annual payments. You have several people here willing to pony up some $$ to get started right now. Who knows who will be around next next and how much they will be willing to pitch in. And it doesn't really look like the Amazon $ will support the $85/year. I vote for purchase.
What about web hosting fee? Monthly/annual fees? |

One other piece of the puzzle. Cost to get upgrades after purchase of the license is $30. In other words, after a year in which you get free updates, during that second year, if you update you pay $30. Or even the year after than, $30. So maybe this makes purchase a better option. If you expect the website to survive over a couple of years.
