Guess I'll have to go back and read it again, but the Manhattan stuff seemed the most preposterous to me, whereas the Bergmann stuff seemed a bit more likely, given that it would resonate with a bunch of film school types. But what I meant was if the theory is correct then what is the point of the whole lost island? WHy is it happening? That is something I didn't get at all from the link.
