Cj, as someone who is very familiar with Utah polynesian culture, please explain what is going on? ( I know some of these guys are CA polys).

A couple of Samoans from CA on my mission had been into gang stuff.

Is this a case of minorities on the fringes of society, who feel like they don't fit in, and getting away with a thing or two is ok?

You have to wonder. Havili blew something up and went on a mission. I know people who know the family personally. They are a great family and a great kid.

When I was a Stake Athletic director in Calif., the polynesian ward had to send a Bishopric member to all games. It was to keep the parents under control.

I have personally met Manese and spent time with him. I couldn't imagine a more humble, great kid.

I have to believe there is something of a cultural nature. Their laid back fun nature maybe gets them into trouble in a strict everything counts society.

It will be interesting to hear what happens to Tonga. Dabney shoplifted from the mall and was booted for good. Gilford stole some stuff from lockers in the Richards building and was booted for a year. I think Whalen was finally booted for stealing, but I think it was his second offense and he was stealing booze. Very bad. My guess is that Tonga will be kicked out of school for a year and it won't be up to Bronco.

This was months ago. Don't you think the HC Office has already handed down their sentence by now?

I don't know. I guess maybe they have. This is my first time hearing all this. Has the HC already ruled?

Matangi fell afoul of the law back in April. I think it's safe to say they have.

It's not a difficult question,,,,the answer has already been given OBVIOUSLY.

In terms of the other when is he allowed back in...that 2nd question I do not know. My guess would be not until his legal matters are cleared up and maybe Winter or next Spring Semester. Those are actually guesses as opposed to the other first answer about what happened to him.
