If this was the only relationship of his that was questionable, maybe (am I'm not conceding your point) you could say that, but this is hardly the first long-term relationship that is very problematic for Obama.

What I find telling is that an unrepentant terrorist is now considered a respectable member of the liberal academic establishment. Speaks volumes if you ask me.

But when you have virtually no political track record to judge someone by, you are left trying to fill in the blanks to see if you can trust them to make good judgments and be a good leader, so it becomes more important with someone like Obama than with most other presidential candidates.
