She probably doesn't have too many characteristics that Republicans would like. Compassion may be one. I'm not sure though, because I have no proof she is compassionate nor that Republicans like compassion. I don't know much about her fiscal track record since she hasn't had much chance to do anything outside of Bill's presidency. She claims to be in favor of a balanced budget. I think that would help the economy. It seems like a good idea not to spend money you don't have. The socialized health care system would be a benefit to the hundreds of thousands of uninsured people. There is no reason to fear this ever happening because the insurance and medical lobby is way too strong. I'm not a government expert, but I don't think the President can overhaul the whole medical care system alone. The current system of overpriced, unaffordable healthcare isn't working. I'm not really a fan of socialized medicine, but I don't see how it could be worse than what we've got. As far as religion goes, I believe she attends a Methodist church. I've never read anything that leads me to believe she is hostile to religion. I still hope it comes down to Hillary and Mitt. Imagine people trying to choose between a woman and a Mormon. SNL will get really funny, really fast. |

No, I anticipate the choice between a Mormon and a bi-racial African-American with a Muslim name being much more tortuous for the red south. |

She has voted for increased spending and is recognized as one of the most liberal spending voting records in the Senate. She in her infamous rant tried to rail against religionists as creating lies about her husband, believing some massive conspiracy abounded. If you missed that, then you weren't watching. I asked the question about what her socialized medicine would do to the majority of "insured", not uninsured. IOW, on issues that appeal to workers and Republicans she has no appeal.

And secondly, read about Hillary Clinton. From both her enemies or her friends. It becomes pretty clear that on a personal level, she is a pretty vindictive person. So in her political life, she is compassionate, but on a personal level, she is vindictive? Seems a bit odd, don't you think? The truly compassionate people I know show their compassion in their daily interactions with others, not just with platitudes they spout. |

It's interesting how these ex-presidents compare to recent GOP ex-presidents. |

You're usually reasonable but tell me why Democrats have coopted the concept of compassion into meaning funding massive social programs at tremendous tax burdens?
And when I think of Christ, I don't think of his social programs, I think of his personal interaction with individuals with him exhibiting personal service. When can you think of that for any of the known "compassionate" Dems? I remember the story of Romney closing everything down and Bain Investmetn group when a daughter of a client went missing in New York, but I know of no such efforts by Hillary or Barack. Do you?

I don't listen to Limbaugh or Hannity so I wouldn't recognize the quote.

Bill Clinton is insincere. He is all about image. Always has been and always will be.
