That there are two good shows about the behind the scenes of a "SNL" type show and the actual SNL show isnt very good
What do all of you think about 30 rock and studio 60 on the sunset strip?

30 Rock is solid, I really like it. Baldwin's character is hilarious and it's one that I think he plays the best (picture the role he played in "The Aviator" and add a comedic element). Tina Fey is always excellent and I've really liked Tracy Morgan's performances to this point. In the episode where Tracy's character overdosed on his psych pills and was minutes from going onto the Conan O'Brien show I laughed harder than I have in a long time.

Steel, have you seen "GlenGarry Glenross"? If you like Baldwin, you will love that movie (based on Mamet play).

I know we've discussed this before, but yes, I agree. A very good movie. I don't know anyone who has seen it who does not like it, especially Baldwin's short appearance as a motivational speaker.

I really like Studio 60. Amanda Peet is hot. I think it's a very well-done show. I also like little Corddry - the one where he was arrested was hilarious.
I've watched 30 Rock a couple of times, but I haven't gotten into it. However, I really like Alec Baldwin. I'll have to add it to my recording list so I can watch it when I get a chance.

I liked studio 60...but I have 2 problems with it:
1. It takes itself WAY too seriously. This would be easy to do if it was the White House, but it is about a freakin' comedy show. Relax a little. 2. The skits are not funny at all...we are led to believe that the two guys that took over the writing are amazing and the best writers around yet every time they show a skit, it is lousy no matter how much laughter is thrown our way. I really like the actual actors, but the show needs to change things up a bit. |

I've never watched either of them.
They both look boring and stupid.
