Default Life of Pi

Yes, I know it might appeal to the female types more than guys, but I just read it on the plane and enjoyed it for a change up.

It has international travel coupled with animal psychology and is overall lots of fun.

Last year we drove to Utah as a family for some event or another and rented that book on CD to listen to during the drive. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. I would reccommend it to anyone. The whole section about his name (Piscine) and its pronunciation, as well as the roll call sequence, was very amusing.

Many moons ago I mentioned around these parts that it is quite possibly my all time favorite book of fiction.

Many people I've recommended the book to struggle with the first part, and suggest it's too slow ... I actually prefer the first part with it's examination of religion and the description of the zoo more than the action of the second part.

I liked the examination of religion and the discussion of enclosures for animals. Whether the guy is full of it or not, I know not, but it sounds plausible. The action wasn't as interesting to me, as the build up. So, I agree.

Too easy. I'll let this one go.

This time.
