statistical comparison of recent BYU QBs
This should give you an idea of how horrible Taysom Hill has been.

Three seasons where the BYU QB was rated 100th or worse in QB rating:
Jake Heaps Taysom Hill x 2 With Riley Nelson's last season nipping at their heels. Yet Riley was hated and Taysom is beloved. |

I don't think the schedules are comparable. BYU's schedule has been brutal this year.

His rating was the same in a previous year when the schedule was easier.
He is who he is. I'm sure his rating will likely improve against the worse teams left on the schedule. A lot of that will be playing against a worse defensive line, having more rushing success, then having more opportunities for favorable matchups in the secondary. He's averaging about 1 TD throw per game. Quarterback U my ass. |

Someone on CB posted advanced statistics that controlled for defense difficulty and Taysom's ability to run. Tanner was still better by a substantial margin.
Mike is right.

I saw that post a while ago. FINALLY now people on CB are starting to agree that Taysom sucks. I'm always ahead of the general fans. It's one of the curses of superior intelligence.

Being superior to the collective intelligence of CB is not much of an accomplishment. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back.

There were people on CB saying Tanner should start from game 1.

I did not know, though was doubtful, in light of Ty having seen the Spring and summer training. After the first game and the second game loss to Utah, I was convinced this team was going nowhere with Taysom.
