Now CB thinks Big XII is in the bag and they're weighing whether the Pac-12 is the better option. Like we have that option.
Sgh. Human nature. So delusional. |

Not worst, but a dumb and delusional fanbase. The Mormon ignorance quality adds to the dumb and delusional aspect.

Our athletes are more intelligent than average, no reason to believe fan base isn't. But that's not saying much. And still highly delusional.

We have a very non-genius head coach, so whatever football intelligence we have in our players is largely wasted.

I think Bronco's main failings have been in his hiring of assistants and in recruiting. I actually think he's good at teaching football, but with the talent level for the most part continually decreasing under his watch, it becomes harder and harder to play above MWC level. He's produced some really good defenses over the years, but he's had a harder time with the administrative stuff. I also think he came into the job with the wrong attitude about recruiting, almost thinking that it didn't really matter because he felt he could get an extraordinary amount out of whoever played for him. I think he woke up a little about the recruiting part over the last couple of years, but in a lot of ways it's too late, although we're doing better with bringing in diamond in the rough, non-LDS guys (like Jordan Leslie). However, the BCS and P5 have forever changed the climate over the last ten years, and the top LDS players don't look to BYU as a good alternative to the P12 or other P5 leagues anymore. We used to get most of those guys, which is why we used to put a lot of guys into the NFL. Dave Rose still gets the top LDS players with the very rare exception of the Jabari Parker and Frank Jackson top 10 type guys.
