Rose, BYU and bad conference losses
I think BYU is going to be better next year, but one thing I really hope to see is the elimination of bad losses. We tend to forget that the bad loss phenomenon with Rose's teams is actually a very recent thing and was not at all characteristic of his teams in the MWC. If we can get back to just taking care of business against these teams it will make a huge difference in terms of catching up to Gonzaga in first place and with other things like NCAA tournament seeding. 2012 is the first year we were in the WCC. Here are Rose's bad regular season conferences losses by year (defined as a loss to a team outside the top 100) with our D1 W/L record noted. Ranking is rpi.
