I don't have the time or energy to do this, but it would be interesting to list out the SOS for each year, and compare Lavell (last 4 years) to Crowton to Bronco.

He had some tougher schedules between 2002 and 2004, but he also lost plenty of games to terrible teams like UNLV and Wyoming.

The context of this is that in the article, Crowton blames some of his woes on the difficult schedule that the AD put together.
The bolded years are the Crowton years. His breakthrough was the 2001 season that was an easier schedule than the last Edwards year. And by far the 2003 and 2004 seasons were the toughest as to scheduling. Bronco has not approached that degree of difficulty. We'll see where next year's schedule stacks up. Sagarin schedule rankings by year 1998 - 88 1999 - 45 2000 - 51 2001 - 83 2002 - 86 2003 - 14 2004 - 11 2005 - 65 2006 - 74 2007 - 59 2008 - 74 2009 - 61 2010 - 55 2011 - 90 2012 - 63 2013 - 38 2014 - 69 Last edited by MikeWaters; 01-09-2015 at 08:48 PM. |
