Margin Call: Call it in and go see it.
It stars Jeremy Irons, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany and several others over a twenty-four hour period inside a fictional investment banking firm during the initial collapse of the financial markets in 2008.
The action is tight, with no melodramatic speeches and humanizes to some extent inhumane humans. The director uses silence appropriately and it's not melodramatic but worth the effort to see.

I only go to the theatre once in a blue moon, and it is always for kids movies. Is this a kids' movie?

Good movie. Far better than "Inside Job", which was so poorly done, I began to verbally mock it at its showing at Lincoln Plaza Cinemas in NY
