Peter Hitchens on the surplus of males in China
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...lus-males.html
Evil is so common in China, it is pedestrian. An entire nation of rudderless people. |

Indian? Sorry. Islamic? Sorry. China? No way. Europe? Nope. Native American? no way. Latin America? Absolutely not. Burma? You saw what happened. Being a woman most places in time and place means to be treated as a second rate citizen, or worse. Do Polynesian cultures treat women well? It seems they might.

To be fair, Indians do the same thing. And Asian-Americans have also been shown to selectively kill fetuses based on gender.
It sucks. |

I just read this book, and found that studies show that there are between 60-101 "missing women" in the world due to gender discrimination, with China, India and Pakistan having the greatest disproportion of male to female. Besides selective sex abortions, this number is credited to neglect of girl infants, witholding of medical care for girls (people will vaccinate and take boys to the hospital, but not their daughters), girls who die early from AIDS caught as sex slaves in brothels, "bride burnings" and "honor killings".... the list goes on.
