New article in US News and World Report
In this weeks edition on US NEws, there is a list of the rankings of governement agencies based on the results of an employee satisfaction survey.
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/biztech...honor-roll.htm Can anyone think of a crappier job in America than secretary of the Department of Homeland Security? I'm sure there are a few, but this one has to suck. Totally thankless position - you may do 1,000 things right but as soon as a terrorism act occurs you're the one that screwed up. Worst pay and of all agencies. Worst work/life balance of all agencies. Poor family/friend culture. employees think that leadership is ineffective. Only agency with a lower overall score is the SBA. How much of this can be attributed to it being a relatively new ageny? |

My job is pretty crappy...
Trying to literally do the job of three people. No one that I am doing stuff for is happy about it. They all complain like crazy. I'm putting in 11 & 12 hour days and all they do is Eweting Ewet about it!

Commerce didn't do too bad
Considering how many business managers chew me out when I call them up for their revenue/expense info.
