Now I can expect my (who's parents didn't live in the US during slavery) tax dollars to be handed out to blacks. Hey it worked for the Native Americans (oh wait, it didn't......most live in the same conditions they did 100 years ago), so let's hand it out to another group. The US government makes me sick at times! |

Society has, could have, and should have no interest in preserving heterosexual marriage. Doesn't matter, won't affect marriage to let gays marry. No harm will be done. What's the big deal?
But apologizing (and perhaps paying) for acts committed by people centuries dead ... now there's something with some impact. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

I was thinking that the Government needs to legislate the nutritional content of food. Attack the problem not the symptom.
