Ward softball
I pulled a hamstring running from first to second last night in a ward softball game. I guess my half marathon is off for Saturday. Grrrrrrr!

Isn't it strange that your hamstring can tolerate you running for 16 miles every Saturday but the extra speed burst going from first to second base is just too much? It seems most of my injuries come while trying to go faster than normal.

What is the appeal of ward softball?
I tried it once a few years ago and hated it. Too many guys out to prove they really were athletes. Just like ward hoops.

Ours is pretty casual. If we have enough warm bodies show up to field a team everyone is happy.

It sounds like you guys play it to have fun, not to out do each other. That would be the right way to do it.
