suggestion for change to the site
There are other "middle age" boarders like me. Not as competent with computers since we didn't grow up with them. The posting format on that other board (cb) is much more friendly and you're able to see more entries and who is posting in the various category. This one is cumbersome and you have to keep looking at the items page by page. Just my $.02 worth. I would spend more time here if it was quicker and easier to navigate.

Go here and go to the middle-bottom, see "Thread Display Mode" and change it from "Linear - Older First" to "Threaded." See if you like that. |

Interesting. I much prefer the default format here - it's so much easier to categorize and ignore topics you have no interest in, plus you get the posts in a more linear fashion and won't necessarily miss a post you would have wanted to read that's stuck in the middle of a thread...

Other tips:
- You can change the number of posts that show up on a page so you don't have to keep going "page by page" as much. - Click new posts from the menu to see which threads have been updated since you last read the board. - Once you're in a thread, click the "View First Unread" link in the upper left corner and it will take you right to first post you haven't read. These three tips make it so you can be very efficient when reading the board. I much prefer this board's viewing/posting format over Cougarboard's format. |
