Made this kite last Friday

It works. Simple and easy and cheap. I estimate that it costs about $5 to make the kite, plus a bit more to buy some line (I bought 40lb test fishing line for about $3). |

Good call.
I tied some line to a rock, threw it up through the kite, and managed to pull it down, although all ripped up. I WAS NOT GOING HOME WITHOUT MY KITE. The Kite was WAY up in the sky and all of the sudden crashed straight down, not sure why. |
