No "Creep" eh? I don't follow Radiohead very closely, but wouldn't you say that's their most popular song? (Probably why they didn't play it). Has some great guitar riffs, IMO.

Their song "My Iron Lung" is written specifically about being trapped by the success that Creep brought them. I think they didnt want to be defined by that one song, or really by the Pablo Honey album. I have been going to radiohead shows since The Bends and have seen them for every tour since 1992. Since the OK Computer tour, I have only seen Creep performed once. Hollywood Bowl, as a matter of fact.

Fortunately, the CD also has the radio version, which says "You're so very special."
In concert, they do not do the radio version.

Where's Iron Lung? So they won't play it because it was too popular?
Shows what I know. Here's what the blogger said about the Tour. http://radioheadtour2008.blogspot.co...eviews_07.html What did you like the most?

They didnt play My Iron Lung last night (not much off The Bends at all, actually). Back in the ealry 90s, they had a huge hit single with Creep. I guess they felt a bit of pigeonholing as a result of having a smash debut single. They wrote My Iron Lung and put it on their second disc, "The Bends." My Iron Lung is a mataphor for this song that is largely responsible for much of their early success, yet also a burden and source of frustration for them ("we are grateful for our iron lung"). They stopped playing it altogether for a long time because they just wanted to move on. Also, their second and third albums (ok Computer) were such dramatic turns from their first one (Pablo Honey) that the songs made little sense on the setlists, anyway. I think it is pretty common for bands to play less and less of their early catalogue as they release more discs. My favorite parts of last night: live arrangement of Plantet Telex (with accompanying light show), the surprise Neil Young cover, seeing Cymbal Rush (rarely performed), and their interpretation of The Gloaming. I love Reckoner, one of my favorite radiohead songs, so I was happy to hear that one live. Also, House of Cards live was beautiful. Most of you have heard this song, although likely unknowingly. It is the song being played in the background of the NBA "split face" campaign from this year's playoffs. http://www.youtube.com/user/radiohead?ob=1

I always forget about Creep. The Bends, however, is one of my all time favorite albums.
