No, I don't envy you at all.

But in a way, my path is more difficult. I have the gift. And you do not. I have to negotiate a path that you can't even imagine.

You forgot Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise.

The final scene when the nerds steal a duckboat and launch it into the hotel pool, all dressed in army fatigues and wearing rounds of live ammo as belts. Classic.

Nobody messed with the Nerds after that.

Don't forget the parade scene at the end of Animal House.

Caddyshack. Ty was a wounded outcast who had some scores to settle.

Cool

My question is, since when did the first ordinance of the gospel change from "Faith" to "Speaking Ill of the Lord's Annointed"?

I'm more than a little disturbed by the weakness of the testimony of many, not specifically any members of this board, but what I've seen of this topic in general. There are a lot of Mormons today who think that they know more than God does.

I'm worried about the people here who are relying on the words of men instead of relying on personal revelation.

God? Your reasoning is circular, my friend.

The armies are assembling on the borders, like in the opening rounds of a rousing game of Risk.

Today we were told that for 3 Saturdays over the next 5 or so weeks, every family in the stake is being asked to make phone calls or go door to door for a period of 3-5 hours.

We will be contacted by phone from somebody in the stake with our assignment.....either to "talk" or to "walk." The assignment will be geographical...you WILL be working in your own neighborhood.

Now that the rubber is starting to meet the road, it is interesting how many "valiant soldiers" are finding it "difficult" to get out and rock the vote. All the talk in the foyer today was how everyone was busy on Saturday, school is starting soon, work commitments, etc.....

I have good news to report on my front. Before the third hour lesson began, I told the Bishop that I was not interested in "talking" or "walking." He said ok and that was it. No big production, no follow-up questions.

The same program is being run up here, and a sign-up sheet was circulated in the priesthood quorums today. I looked at it for a moment and passed it on the next guy, although I signed up for ward temple day on the sheet underneath so I conveyed the appearance of righteousness, which is important.
