lol! Oops... That is what I get for not reading the second page of the thread. In any event, GREAT book! Someone on here suggested Eastwood was making the movie. I actually heard it is Tom Cruise and Spielberg and that filming was being held up so Spielberg could work on Indy IV. Anyone know for sure? |

I had read the same info about it being a Cruise and Spielberg project. That was about 3 years ago that I read about it, so it may have changed since then.
Have you read any Robin Cook books? Medical mystery stuff. Like Dan Brown, he's not going to win a Pulitzer any time soon, but it is usually very entertaining stuff. One of his books is actually about bonobos. Unfortunately not the Utah County variety. Sorry Non-Sequitor. |

There was an article a while back in either Time or Newsweek that said Eastwood is currently working on TWO MOVIES based on Flags of Our Fathers/Iwo Jima. He started the project doing a movie from the US perspective and then thought "You know, it would be really interesting to do a companion movie from the Japanese perspective". Here is a website related to the project:
http://www.flagsofourfathers.net/ I can't wait to see both. I think Eastwood is really hitting his stride as a director in his old age.
